JCC
Hi all, I'm researching the history of a family member in WW2. I've found they worked for Reynolds Tubing in Birmingham, UK (reserverd occupation) and were involved in the production of parts for the PIAT, Spitfire and (maybe) flamethrowers. Bullet casings were another product. Does anyone have any knowledge of this company or the design/production of the tubing parts for the above? Cheers JCC
Noel7
Reynolds Tubes still exists, although not under that name. Their website is https://www.reynoldstechnology.biz/the-history-of-reynolds-technology/, although the history on the site skips WW2 completely... Wikipedia has a brief history of the various name changes and reasons for them. I knew of them, briefly and in a non-technical context, in my long ago employment, when they belonged to Tube Industries.
