Chris Hall
This just flashed up. States 1947 but it’s a civilianised WD/CO likely built in 47 from spare parts. Jan will have more details on based upon the M20xxx serial number. https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/A-c.1947-Royal-Enfield-Project-Qty-55-c-EA54D7BBAA?utm_source=alerts&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=keywordalerts_solr_control
Ron
I think it's from contract S1546 in 1944, (Type 2 frame), but Jan will confirm. The front hub is pre war BSA. Ron
rewdco
Here we are... 😁 Ron is correct, (duplicated) frame number 20099 comes from military contract S/1546. It was despatched from the factory on 03/07/1944, destination War Office Slough. After the war it was factory reconditioned, (this may only have been a civilian respray...?), and it was sold to Jempson in Eastbourne on 01/09/1947.
