RMS
Hi all, Bit a strange one this! I need some roller chain for a Cletrac winch but it would appear to be a very odd size! dimensions are 1" pitch, 9/16 roller, 5/8 wide so far it has stumped my local suppliers , so any suggestions would be great. Thanks
MatchFuzee
R M Fowler can make bespoke chains made to exact customer requirements. This can include obscure pitches and roller diameters chains. http://www.chain-drive.co.uk/roller-chains

Thanks Have you contacted RENOLD or sifted through their on-line catalogue. First blush the size would appear quite off-shelf for transmission , this type of chain also used on lifting blocks & will be proofed. MatchFuzee
Perhaps this forum will have the answer:- https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cgi-bin/viewit.cgi?bd=oliver&th=61530 I assume that you have tried American and European suppliers. ruxy
It may be worth consulting with a fork-truck specialist who deals with all makes / ages inc. those of USA origins such as Hyster. Not so common now but much of this construction was used on early trucks , the larger dia. may have been better over small dia. mast pulleys ? It could even have a use for boom section extension on telescopic cranes. Renold was/is big but by no means having a monopoly , still worth asking their Technical Dept for opinion. I doubt if it is so special , chain of this type used to be imported from Czechoslovakia into UK by the mile - a BIG importer was actually ISO-Speedic.
