Spotted this WOT 6 For Sale

We are very much the same! Main interest being in Commers but I do very much like Guy Ants and Fordsons, any rusty old trucks could find a home with us if we had the money and space!

Posted here in case it is of interest to members of this forum. I have no connection to the seller.

That lorry was shown as under restoration by two people in Essex in the 1993 IMPS members directory.

Hi,

This Fordson WOT 6 was rescued from a dismantler's yard in Annfield Plain, County Durham around 1985. It appeared that NTY 385 ( a May 1958 plate) had been potentially L5495769 during its military service and may have then worked for the GPO before acquiring the Northumberland plate.

Keep an eye out for it appearing with pictures in a forthcoming Heritage Commercial Vehicle Magazine feature on the WOT-6 this year.

It’s a bit of an unknown as not many come up for sale, there was one for sale last year, it was a gantry crane mobile workshop, running, driving, in very good condition and I think it was 10k

I would imagine the £8k would be negotiable.

Prices of all older vehicles is on the up but at the end of the day though I suppose its anout how much someone is willing to pay.

Just out of curiosity, is the £8k they are asking a reasonable price?

It sold on ebay about 18 months ago in same condition for half that price...
