ltwtbarmy 11
Wow, lovely vehicles. Seems that both are ex british military. The second one (949BVO) was first registered in 1959 and last on the road in 1984 according to the dvla. https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/VehicleFound?locale=en As a side note, i hope they take the spare wheel out of the first one and stick it back in the second! It was an executors estate sale there was no reserve its up to the vendor to decide if the price was acceptable,...I would think yes.. 67burwood 26
I registered to bid by phone but didn’t get a look in, to expensive for me.
matchlesswdg3 18
Thats £15k plus around 10% commission plus 20% of the 10% commission which comes to about £16800 for the "cheap" one. But I guess if a dealer buys it and spends £5k on a tidy up there is still some profit if its sold on for £25-£30k. Frankly - nuts! Although - look at the prices being asked for very average Land Rovers! Edited March 20 by matchlesswdg3
67burwood 26
Can’t imagine there’s much profit, both jeeps have apparently sat for 40 years, a very nice running and driving original British Jeep was recently sold on eBay, advertised for 20k and It took sometime to sell.
