CLIVE up to now l have found nothing on the 426 but l can tell you that a new designed recovery trailer was order for the FV4OO series if there was a mock up of the 426 it will be recorded in the  establishment  records that l have  at home the new boxes are full of surprises one of which lam attaching  this letter came with a original 4x2 matador wiring diagram to go with my matador rolling chassis both dated 1942 are to big to scanacvm.thumb.jpg.66e449e2ed0d88250c4554b5f6532254.jpg

some thing l am really pleased to get is the folder on the  J.A.B it contains the workshop manual drawing and photographs  the one in the folder is the one that was in the museum which when there l got to run and we took it one year to W&P l could have done with this folder all those years ago also a often overlooked vehicle  but one l got to drive with the old Bedford CF loved them doors push them back brake hard and nearly lose your right armjab.thumb.jpg.bfb939d38001155d937580079e5b970c.jpg

RICHARD most of the FOX TRIALS went in to storage in the first  boxes the one shown is fifty s1x pages and one of the smaller reports. JOHN l know l have some documents on the CONQUEROR as to stowage diagrams to be honest there may be some in the last box which l have not opened have you come across the document the history and disposal of the CONQUEROR. l have been trying to pack the last of  the items that where stored in the loft before the builders come this is something l had forgotten l knew l had the maintenance manual on the book shelf but  not this was in the box up stairs1376393162_25parts.thumb.jpg.d494fadde656e8a258645c951e550c58.jpg

While sorting through the boxes from time to time files on motorcycle trials appear this one made me smile the TIGER CUB  was my first motor cycle at the age of sixteen the  start of a love of two wheels with a engine   the trials took place in 1956  1646594510_tigercub.thumb.jpg.955706b4df0bcc4f5f265b1aad01d9df.jpg

Hi Wally,

I can still remember having just moved to a new home in 1961 (aged 10) and going to an army "At Home" at the local barracks, it was a Transport Coy of the RASC and a lot of exhibits, I distinctly recollect the Tiger Cub there as there was also a sectioned engine on display. Like you I had one as well, bought it for £17 as I recall! Great bike.

I have seen that in the book, I think there was a Greeves in that book as well. The French Army had some Tiger Cubs as I know  someone who has/had one.

The race is on to get everything out of the loft builders here to start on Monday l have pulled a few files out here is one on the purposed  replacement for the 109 in 1962 and a picture  of the wooden mock up model this was to have a wheel base of 109 1/2 or 1101068186824_1091.thumb.jpg.ec13789e3d2af889d7ba86d7c423fcd9.jpg569216197_1092.thumb.jpg.8a751c1d44a7b991f78c8f48326e390d.jpg

here is the 110" 3/4 ton bonneted control in its current position in the Dunsfold Collection, nice find Wally , please bear me in mind if you have a chance to copy it. philip
