steviem
Thanks bud I'll have another go tomorrow, the thread was loose fitting, regarding pulling the other out its solid so may put some heat on it.
steviem
Well they have not fallen off, my first welding attempt was with a Clarke 106 mig, i fiddled with the settings for a while and found 2 on minimum was ok , wire speed was a 6, i only had the fluxcore option as i still have not ordered any gas and regulator it seemed fine at tacking and i went back and filled the gaps, pics tomorrow once i have tided it up. regards the inner frame bracket one threaded hole is oversize the fits lovely. steviem
Guys managed to salvage the one bezel that the MB had, corocan brown plastic 100, is there any way to put the colour back into the lens? Being original I'd like to use it again
steviem
Guys starting passenger fender, are original braces spot welded on.
Chris Hall
Yes they are, let us know how well the JMP braces fit, I need to replace mine. Have you got a wood block to fit in the bottom? I’m tempted to use a plastic/nylon insert on mine.
steviem
Its off, took me a few goes to get used to the spot weld removal tool but got there, once it starts throwing rust out it was time to stop, I will do mock fit of the replacement and no, there is no wood. Chris Hall
Before you weld it on then, it may be worth deciding if you want to fit steel spacers or wood/plastic. Not sure what others have done so let see if anyone else has any thoughts.

steviem
Any of you guys used an electric spray gun, don't really want to be purchasing compressor etc and OD is a forgiving colour.
Chris Hall
I would personally always go for an air compressor. It’s much more reliable, consistent and has many more uses. You can get little 50ltr ones with spray kits for a reasonable price when they come up.
