So the side of the window with the stud in it I think is wrong, the stud may just unscrew from the threaded bush in the bracket. One of your screws and wavey washer pass through the adjustment arm screw hole into the window bush. The slot of the adjustment are sits over the long stud on the outer windscreen edge and the big lock nut and wavey washer screw onto the stud.

Bit of a crap day today as the extent of work to the tub starts to unravel all but one tub bolt behind the fuel tank sump to remove bloody awkward can't even get a grinder in to cut it, some random pics but I need to crack on.

When I took my tub off, if the bolts didn’t undo, they just sheared off. My observation at the time was that these American bolts were crap! I expected them to be high tensile bolts seeing as they were securing the tub to the frame. However I’m convinced they are nothing more than mild steel!

I've had lots just snap off, this bugger is not tight to the frame and kind of concealed within a small space,  it may be a dremel job to just cut it, after that I think speedo, parking brake,  oil temperature sensor to disconnect and the tub should in theory come away,  I need to resist temptation of a reproduction tub which atm is all to tempting

Hi Jerry,  I did ask who did them? Postage wasn't to painful tbh, I have no idea why someone cut them in the first place,  hopefully soon I can get it to you for assessment and overhaul.

Guys am I right in thinking late war jeeps did not have rubber seals fitted around the back lights? I have seen a few fitted on other restorations, also how do you cut your replacement body pieces, grinder with cutting wheel or other,  Steve
