steviem
Totally agree, how on earth do you get a pedal like that, if Jerry can sort that he's going to do very well.

Chris Hall
I can’t for the life of me remember how it all goes together but all the parts are available or can be made easy enough.

Chris Hall
So the side of the window with the stud in it I think is wrong, the stud may just unscrew from the threaded bush in the bracket. One of your screws and wavey washer pass through the adjustment arm screw hole into the window bush. The slot of the adjustment are sits over the long stud on the outer windscreen edge and the big lock nut and wavey washer screw onto the stud. steviem
Looks like my outer brackets are wrong, the bolt certainly won't fit into the hole
Chris Hall
Not wrong, the ends have been Cut/sheared off and 2 holes have been drilled through. You can get repro brackets to weld on.

steviem
Bloody weather, not worth getting everything soaked so it will be tub off nxt week now and keep it wrapped up.
steviem
Bit of a crap day today as the extent of work to the tub starts to unravel all but one tub bolt behind the fuel tank sump to remove bloody awkward can't even get a grinder in to cut it, some random pics but I need to crack on. Chris Hall
When I took my tub off, if the bolts didn’t undo, they just sheared off. My observation at the time was that these American bolts were crap! I expected them to be high tensile bolts seeing as they were securing the tub to the frame. However I’m convinced they are nothing more than mild steel!
steviem
I've had lots just snap off, this bugger is not tight to the frame and kind of concealed within a small space, it may be a dremel job to just cut it, after that I think speedo, parking brake, oil temperature sensor to disconnect and the tub should in theory come away, I need to resist temptation of a reproduction tub which atm is all to tempting
grey on top
Hi Your tub number 219059 would suggest it was manufactured in march 1945. Is this roughly consistent with your chassis number?

steviem
Hi Jerry, I did ask who did them? Postage wasn't to painful tbh, I have no idea why someone cut them in the first place, hopefully soon I can get it to you for assessment and overhaul.
