Hamble
Hi all, I've set up a website to share photos of WW1 and WW2 Tank and Tracked Vehicle Data Plates (like the Churchill tank one below) . Either on or off tanks and the information around the plates. Front Page> https://militarydataplates.com/ Tanks Plates Specifically> https://militarydataplates.com/tank-plate/ I'd love if anyone has any photos of data plates they'd be willing to have shared on the website. Please post them as comments or email me at: militarydataplates@gmail.com For each plate if you could mention the tank it is off, any history about the plate/tank and if the plate is still on the tank, a photo of the tank itself with the plate visible as well would be great. Also if you have any feedback or things that could be added to the website please let me know. Many thanks, Hamble Edited January 2, 2020 by Hamble
Surveyor
Can I suggest if the plate is still on the vehicle that you get a picture of it as well? Also any details of the history. If you only have the plate any indication of which vehicle it was attached to. Just the plate by itself does not give very much help especially for researchers. Thanks Surveyor for the feedback, I will edit my post as I agree the more information and background to the plates the better.
robin craig
Are you only including tracked vehicles or will wheeled armoured vehicles be included? Is this all type and all eras?

Is this all type and all eras? Yes its all types of tracked vehicles and wheeled armoured vehicles from the WW1, inter war and WW2 eras. A unarmoured WW1 section is coming soon and in the future it may include a section for unarmoured WW2 vehicles too.
