RAFMT
I recently had some time to spare at work, so I thought I'd run AP2515A Vol.III, Mechanical Transport Vehicles Complete, dated May 1946 through the scanner. It essentially lists all of the MT vehicles, trailers and associated bodies, in use with the RAF at the time. Interestingly, some of the chassis/complete vehicles have the contract numbers listed and for many of those the chassis number ranges covered by each contract are included. Also included at the end is the first amendment list, from January 1947. If it's of interest, we also have the second edition of May '52 and the fifth edition from April '64 Apologies if there is a better place to put this. LarryH57
Are there any from 1939 by chance?
RAFMT
No. They should all be listed in the appropriate AP1086, but I've yet to find one for that period.
79x100
Thanks very much for sharing those details. 522 'missing' Norton frame numbers can now be allocated to a contract and some light shone on others. I too would be fascinated to see any earlier editions.

Citroen cars slough were also involved in the manufacture/ modification of the bodys for the Bedford MWR radio trucks and the assembling of vehicles imported as kits from Canada (drive to victory a catalogue of canadian military vehicles has them assembling 70,000 trucks )

LarryH57
Guys, For RAF Vehicles in use in WW2 I have seen reference to AMO A143 /44 as being the go to list of RAF types as it was a list of bridge plates for each type. Has anyone go this list that they may share with members?
RAFMT
Yes, somewhere. I'll dig it out and post it later
LarryH57
Bryan, That list from 1944 would be very welcome, as would a list from 1939 so as to compare types in use by the RAF at the start and end of WW2
billh35
So how many Bedford OWB coaches did the RAF operate?
LarryH57
Hopefully Bryan will have access or is everyone in the RAF Museum working from home?
