Have you looked into converting it to modern 22.5 tyres and wheel centres either with a distance piece for the bead or doing a cut and shut on the wheel centres. If you measure the wheels you may find they are metric, as British tyre sizes were ambiguous. They were quoted as Imperial where in point of fact they were Metric.
