What sight is this?

Can anyone tell me what these sights would have been used for and which vehicles ships?

There is a periscopic sight for sale on Milweb, described as - "British Sight Periscopic Armoured Vehicle L4A1 Night sight unit believed to be from a Chieftain tank"

The "Director Aimers Monocular Sight" is part of a gun sighting system from a naval vessel.

There is a similar one in the Royal Museums Greenwich:-

Thanks, I got that one was a Naval sight but what type of ship would have been a destroyer cruiser mine sweeper or what is the information was looking for. As for the other sight did not think the listing you have linked is correct as only belives though is that someone way of covering there back?

The Tank Museum should know what the periscope was used in.

Is there a date(s) on the periscope? A date would help you cross reference to one or more vehicles that were in service at the date.

Have you contacted the Royal Museums Greenwich to see if they can help with the type(s) of vessel?

from the bore sighting label, and the graticule adjusters, the L4A1 is the chieftain gunner's night sight.
