hummermark
Hi have just been reading a article that says the department of transport has announced that classic cars more than 40 years old will be mot exempt from may 2018. they say it brings it in line with the exemption of road tax so it implies it is rolling. the article did not say what weight that is up to,does any one know any more about this? Does it cover up to 3.5 ton?
LarryH57
My understanding is that it will apply in the same way as it does all other vehicles that currently get that exemption
TooTallMike
Mark, Have a read of the last few pages of this thread: http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?16828-MOT-Testing-Exemptions-Consultation-VERY-IMPORTANT/page55 It is very ambiguous as to how it relates to vehicles over 3.5t. - MG

Please read the documents and make any representations you feel appropriate. If people do not respond the legislation will go through as proposed. - MG
