WOMBLE
a nice photo of my dad (Capt.Bauer RAMC) in front of an (Austin?) ambulance that he had just decorated sometime in '42 or '43. He was a talented artist - as can be seen in the picture. I particularly like the one top right! !
Richard Farrant
Hi Womble, I am pretty sure that is a Canadian Ford F30 ambulance, going by the window and locker door. Certainly not an Austin K2. Great artwork!
David B.
Hi Womble,I am pretty sure that is a Canadian Ford F30 ambulance, going by the window and locker door. Certainly not an Austin K2. Great artwork! I'd go along with Richard. Definitely not a Mann Egerton body on a K2. Certainly a Canadian Body and I don't think there was a Chev version. Must contravene the Geneva Convention !!! DFC1943Fl.Lt.
Hi Gerard, that's a great photo. Do you have any more of your dad in service. It's great to look back at those days and see family members doing what a lot of youngsters have come to take for granted these days. If it wasn't for the bravery of the men and women back then we would not have the freedom we have today. All the best Steve.
Adrian Barrell
Is that Capt. Reilly-Ffoul on the right? My father remembered him from his childhood.

covjohn
have you looked up Clifford saber and his artwork? (the desert rat sketchbook) he was with the American field service in north Africa at that time and mentions the RAMC among many others.
