MartinN
Are there a modern replacement bulb which fits into the old holders. I have a Bedford mw. I understand the newer type bulbs are so much brighter.
john1950
There seems to be quite a debate about modern bulbs and which ones to fit. Soft or bright white
Richard Farrant
Hi Martin, If you still have original Butler reflector and bulb holder fitted, you do not have much choice in bulbs. Also the condition of the reflector is important. cheers Richard
Richard Farrant
Hi Martin Just looked at a suppliers website and note that there are halogen bulbs with higher wattage now available for the old type bulbholders. Will see you during the week. Richard

They are the same brightness as the standard bulbs but use much less power. The headlight bulbs are brighter than the standard bulbs though. I've not driven at night yet to truly know how good they are.
