billh35
Does anyone have access to this document? Is it worth the cost? I am researching impressed vehicles but am wondering if the access is worth the cost? I am trying to ascertain what happened to vehicles impressed from the Northern Ireland Road Transport Board in 1940.
Tony B
A gentleman my Mother worked for started as a private in WW2, he told me his first vehicle was a Pickford Pantechnecon. Every time a convoy came to a low bridge, he had to detour miles around it.

wally dugan
THE numbers quoted are for impressed vehicles as appear in the CHILLWELL LIST 44 this does not mean all these numbers were allocated and any early records that have survived are of mainly for items like trailers and not many of these impressed vehicles remained in service after ww2 this fact can be seen in post war vehicle sales by the large amount been sold off
