Need help to identify speedo in my WC54

I hope you can help me with this, I have a non-original speedo in my WC54 -42. I have an original speedo i'm going to put in, but it would be nice to know what kind of vehicle this should be in (se pic).

Or Norwegian? That's where many post war Dodges seem to have ended up.

French is absolutely possible, maybe was swapped during a refurbish/rebuild directly efter the war?

It was purchased in Norway 1994 from the Norwegian army(should have mentioned it in the first post) and imported to Sweden, then I bought it two years ago from the guy who imported it and I know that he didn't swap the speedo.

I have no idea when it came to Norway, maybe directly after the end if the war?

I stole(borrowed) the picture from http://jeep-dodge-gmc.com/ where they sell them new. I should probably try and ask them what the speedo actually is intended for.
