If repro ones are O.K. are the correct pannier parts here?

The standard pannier frames and bags used on the WW2 bikes, as well as the postwar TRW are nothing like those fitted on the late 60's WD B40 models. I had two back in the early 70's.

Are these frames and bags the correct ones? Even if yes, not all parts are in stock or available.

Australia received a small amount of B40 GA 1967 models with special gear ratios and high level exhaust with a leather saddle bag frame on the LHS.

The leather saddle bag is the same as used by Australian and most likely US WLA WW2 Harley Davidsons with a quick release pin set up between the saddle bag and its frame.

Modak motor cycles of 299 Elisabeth St Melbourne Vic Australia should have NOS items and a lot of other NOS parts purchased from the ex Australian army auctions many years ago.

Hi Ron,

The British Forces WDB40 motorcycles had a low level exhaust and a pannier frame each side, the bags were of have canvas material unlike the Australian contract.

I am sure the gear ratios in the British army models was same as yours, I had two and worked on some for the army. The gear clusters were sought after for competition trials because of the ratios.

regards, Richard
