question Missing Ferret ?

A few years ago I was running a military vehicle driving experience company in Aberdeenshire, one day a police officer turned up for a look around. He was originaly from Northern Ireland and had been in the RUC. He had a big smile for the Ferrets as he told me about one that went missing in the late 70s or early 80s ish. Anyway, apparently the crew had legged it and left it I suppose to an uruly crowd and it dissapeared and has never been seen since. :whistle:

Does this ring a bell with anyone?

 

Or is it a story like the one about "the old empty barn". :undecided:
