Haven't watched it for ages but it's not The Wages of fear by any chance ?

Had to smile to myself watching the tail end of Ice cold in Alex yesterday , the famous(infamous?) shot as they drove past the lwb Landie !

Yes, Hell Drivers it was. The GPW is marked us with the company name "Hawletts" across the windscreen. When we acquired our Jeep I now wish I had painted up as this one before fully restoring it. It would have been fun and different.

The location for that photo is Wool, Dorset, and it is a few miles from the Tank Museum. The historic farm in the background is still immediately recognisable today, though the road layout has changed slightly.

The film centred on a German invasion of Britain, and I think the title was "It Happened Here" but it's years since I saw it so I may be wrong with the title.

Nothing? Would it help if I said shortly after this shot everyone in the Jeep was killed by a bunch of Russian sleeper agents by a bomb in a garage?

Ah...that would be in 'Heartbeat' then:laugh:

You are guessing these very quickly, so they must be too easy. Try this one:

Oh My God!! You can't do that to a Ford V8!! Definitely a horror film.

Well done. Try this one. Not a movie though, a British TV series.

I think it's the 'New Avengers', but I'm guessing.

That film made the WOT3 even rarer !

Setting fire to WOTs seems to be common. Have you seen 'Dunkirk' with John Mills? Couple of WOT2s on fire in that.

Yes, you are right. The New Avengers it was. Here is the same Jeep later on in the same series after it had been miraculously rebuilt:

Here are the next ones:

And an easy one:

They used mine in a different episode - "Trap" the one with an obviously British actor playing a Chinese drug baron.

I also found a Rangers Lozenge from "The Eagle has Landed" on the windscreen apron under the top coat of paint.

I thought someone would get those quickly enough. Bob Newheart in Hell is for Heroes. I am sure if I posted a photo of him driving the Jeep that would have helped. The other one was Combat. A very enjoyable series that should be remade.

Back to something British:

And something WW1:

No idea...but I really think she ignores a few health and safety rules...

Clara Bow in Hells Angels perhaps? - and the other is Play Dirty with Michael Caine and Nigel Davenport. I'm suprised they could gather so many OYs together in 1969 though.
