rosseden
Hi all, I'm Ross, based in the East Midlands and now the proud owner of a snatch land rover. It was a desertised v8 but currently converting to a 300tdi. It's army reg was 30kk77 so if anyone knows it please let me know its history. It's going to be 'restored' but changed slightly and put into daily use so it won't be original. But it will be out and about shortly I hope! Tony B
Welcome in. There is a commercial conversion available for the exhaust system, worth the money. https://www.steveparkers.com/conversions/ He also does an EGR blank, worth fitting as well. Post pictures of the beast.

Post pictures of the beast. Have put a straight through exhaust on, blanked egr, high power boost pin, new turbo, uprated alloy intercooler, high capacity air filter etc. Have squeezed what we can out whilst still trying to keep reliable and not too thirsty. Have a few pics which I'll start to upload next few days.

rosseden
Haha. Well, weighing in at about 3t plus people, and wanting to use her to tow, I figured it made sense to get what power we could. Hopefully then she can pull a loaded trailer up a hill, and stop coming down the other side. I guess we'll find out once shes driving! She's will be bit of a hybrid really, will look like something between anberfed up defender and an original snatch.
