theredkite Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Today's "long read" in The Guardian is an interview/visit with Kevin Wheatcroft. Given the newspaper it's in it's I'd say it's actually a pretty fair account, and as far as I know it's not very often Mr Wheatcroft opens up! Anyway, here's the link: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jun/24/the-man-who-sleeps-in-hitlers-bed Quote
paul_bish Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 good article, nice balanced view. Not sure David Ayer will be happy about his mention... Quote
Whittingham warrior Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Never a good idea to appear with a portrait of Herr Hitler in one's home Quote
draganm Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 (edited) opening the vehicle collection to the world is one thing, opening up the rest of it including the Hitler-memorabilia is risky. Admitting to not only owning but sleeping in Hitlers bed is asking for the kind of attention a collector like this never wants or needs. I wish him luck. Edited July 7, 2015 by draganm Quote
guykay Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) There are a fair number of wheatcroft collection vehicles on show at the Donnington motor museum. Right be t to the Donnington Park race circuit. Well worth a look Edited July 8, 2015 by guykay Typo Quote
