ingermorris Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Hi - I live in the Bury St Edmunds area of Suffolk. My brother has died and I inherited his old Willy jeep and I have a few questions I need to ask you all please? My brother had brought the old unrestored jeep over to UK some years back and it was stored with my son. My brother died in Switzerland in 2012 and it took 2 years for me to gain probate from Switzerland. So when the Swiss court finally handed me the keys to his house and all paperwork etc I thought it was time to restore the jeep in his memory. My son has had this done locally and it now looks amazing - but the problem now is to register it. When I went to Switzerland I looked for paperwork for the jeep and found nothing as it was unregistered and obviously nothing was done when he brought it to UK. He did not inform DVLA at that time. So now how do I register it? Has anybody got any ideas please? Many thanks. Quote
arcot1751 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Welcome to the HMVF, I cannot help you with your questions however I suggest joining the MVT and talking to them. I am sure they will guide you through things, they will also verify the Jeep is what it says it is and help with a dating certificate for the DVLA. Good luck. Quote
