national777 Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 When I bought this ferret, it ran fine but the brake pedal was frozen in the up position and of course it had no brakes. I parked it one day, and the next morning the brake pedal had fallen to the floor and now all 4 brakes are stuck on. Figuring I had a bad Master Cylinder, I started with that, it was empty of fluid. I have since filled it, bled the brakes and now I have a little pedal when pressed down, but you still have to pull it up with your hand. It will stay in the up position. Anyone got any ideas of why the brakes are still stuck on. Signed....perplexed. Quote
MiketheBike Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 I have just done a deal on a ferret with similar, but different issue. Ferret was let parked for a few years with handbrake on. Release handbrake, but ferret will not move. Brake pedal pretty much solid. I have not had a chance to get it up off the wheels yet. Do you think this will be: 1. Cables from hanbrake seized? 2. Brake pads stuck to drums? 3. Something else? Will be going back next week to investigate further and try to get it moving. Cheers Quote
