Jack
Folks, not sure if any of you have come across this problem but since I have fitted my gun ring - I can no longer use my mirror as the pole is in the way. Does anyone know of a way around this or do I have to get the pipe benders outs and 'bend' the mirror arm so that it can come 'around' the gun ring pole................ Cheers Jack. GlosterMB
You could weld a tab to the pole and mount the mirror on that, just a suggestion
TooTallMike
From factory it didn't come with a RH mirror so whatever you do will be "wrong" as such. You could weld, bolt or clamp the existing bracket onto the leg of the ring, but personally I'd go for the least damaging route and either put a thick spacer between the bracket and the dash panel to bring it forwards enough to clear the leg; or make a new longer arm from a piece of tube flattened at each end and bent to pass round it. You could also take advantage of the opportunity to make the arm stick out further than the original thus improving the view down the side and behind. Jack
Operation Spacer. Ok folks sorted this problem out today :-D So following on from my recycling nature.....I used a old stool leg for the spacers - read on it will make sense! I tend not to through anything away  and I knew that those old stool legs would be come in handy. Remember the old stools we used to have and the legs were covered in plastic?! Well I knew that the metal would be good enough to paint as it would be free from rust....... So here it is - http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s15/hmvf/Stoollegs.jpg[/img] http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s15/hmvf/Plasticonlegs.jpg[/img] http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s15/hmvf/paintedspacers.jpg[/img] http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s15/hmvf/mirrorarm.jpg[/img] .
