Chris Hall
Is there a connection to Woomera? Is it a trial for clothing, i.e. the affects the material has on the body, waterproof, can it breath, insect repellent etc.

fv1609
Is there a connection to Woomera? I no longer have the original document Chris so i don't know the location, but the trials are not missile related. Is it a trial for clothing, i.e. the affects the material has on the body, waterproof, can it breath, insect repellent etc.Not as such this was more of an incidental finding to hot weather trials for something else. The excessive perspiration in relation to two extremes of clothing highlighted a shortcoming in the equipment being tested.

Richard Farrant
Don't think so Richard. But look at your last post yesterday, you were within a hair's breadth of being correct. But if I gave it to you then it would be picked up on as your terminology was not 100% correct for this trial :-D Clive, Was this during the hot climate trials of CVR(T) in Australia, and the guy was a CVR(T) crewman ? Tony B
There was some equipment tested in Australia that did produce a lot of heat. The WS10 mobile communication equipment.
Richard Farrant
There was some equipment tested in Australia that did produce a lot of heat. The WS10 mobile communication equipment. Surely the WS10 was developed in WW2, hardly think they would have trialled on the other side of the world during a war?
