CharlieH
Morning, I have recently purchased a ex-British army Jeep which went through a rebuild in the 1950's. Since then it's changed colour a couple of times. Anyway I'm interested in trying to find colour images of Jeeps in service from this period. Anyone know a good source online / books? Thanks Charlie
snort
A great book in your case is 'The Wartime Jeep in British Service' by Gavin Birch ISBN 0-9534470-9-X Lots and lots of images, 224 pages and about £20 quid.

CharlieH
Hi There, I had seen Jim's jeep, looks smart. Mine has a lot of British Green showing through on the chassis and underside so it just got me wondering what maybe hiding under layers of old paint... not that I'm going to do anything just yet! Gerry275
Charlie, I looked in various places on the tub and found it had been taken back in the past :-( But not inside the tub on the rear inner arches I found a timeline of layers :cool2:
