the flasher unit is behind the dashboard. But there are some different systems.

 

Original for german cars there was a unit from "SWF Germany", but later, in the 70th the warning flasher was retrofitted in Germany

Now, the owners used some different systems, the German Army used Bosch, others officals used Hella etc.

 

Well, what system is the warning flasher switch? Picture? and the chassis number?

24 Volt?

original tail brake indicator lamp?

Dutch Army car??

does anyone know if its easy to fit a Volkswagen bettle engine into a munga

I would have thought a golf diesel engine better...better mpg...I was hoping to fit one into one of my three mungas, but we never seem to get anything finished,...

Youl find covertions on eBay de ,but with a 4 cylinder engine the rad will have to move ether by extending the front or putting the rad behind the engine.do a image search for diesel Mungas and you will see some of the problems .There is only about 100 km to spair with my 3cylinder yanmman covertion .

I have posted a picture of my carb from the munga 1000cc engine, its number is NDIX AU6.

 

does anyone have a breakdown drawing of the set up and what is missing from the threaded hole on the right hand side

hi all

 

thanks for the pictures. but i still dont know what goes into the threaded hole on the right hand side.

hopefully this weekend i will get it cleaned up and serviced.

 

Oh and does anyone know if the cylinder head gasket can be re used or do i need to buy a new one?

1.) Please send a photo of the hole. At what point exactly ??

 

2.) It´s not good to use the head gasket at second time

'Ruston'. thats it, now i need to see if i have one of these with all the odds and ends i have with the munga.

'Blue cloud' i will look for that number when i get a dry day,

the resistance with 3 Resistor and replay.

 

The ignition is 12 Volt and only Only for starting a voltage of 24 volts is required. To understand the systems, please translate

the only group of numbers i can find where you indicated are 3038 - 20 ........ 571612.

well, it`s a car from the dutsch army, with 1000 ccm engine, 24 V, 600 Watt, oliver-green, date of production > 1962,<March 1965, engine with oil injector, electrical petrol-pump.

 

 

To the left would have more numbers be impacted........

but I don't have a spares list or workshop manual for the munga.

doing this rebuild on a shoe string and a lot of guess work
