Georgina Salutes at the Georgina Military Museum May 24 2014

Recommended Posts

The Georgina Military Museum hosts its 6th annual Georgina Salutes on May 24th, 2014 at the museum on Woodbine Avenue just north of Keswick, Canada. Georgina Salutes is held annually in honour of soldiers past and present, and is highlighted by an exhibit of restored military vehicles of members of the OMVA, and others.

The event runs from 10AM to 4PM rain or shine.

We are honoured to once again be joined by The Queen’s York Rangers Regiment, who return with their G-Wagon reconnaissance vehicles and several active servicemen. There will also be a military rifle precision drill presented by the Queen’s York Rangers Cadet Corps, and a group of military re-enactors will present a rifle and cannon firing display which recalls the development of weaponry over the ages. The Museum of Applied Military History will be here with several German re-enactors. There will be face painting for the kids, a silent auction, and more.

This is a great opportunity to turn out and thank the men and women in uniform for their service to the country, and to learn about the Georgina Military Museum and our efforts to educate the kids.

We look forward to you joining us.
