01ec28
Can someone enlighten me as to why the circle on the site is so dim? In low light it isn't even visable. I had to restore mine due to water damage. Did they use radioactive paint in conjunctio with ambient light that has decayed?
Starfire
I've never seen one that was any good either. I'd like a decent one for my Saracen but am not too hopeful at this stage.
shaun
The sight works off day light , I don't think they were ever fitted with a illuminating unit . I have had several and still have a few , and they are all the sale. But a great sight to fire live with , just put circle on the target and away you go ! fv1609
The sight works off day light , I don't think they were ever fitted with a illuminating unit The same periscope & gun linkage was used on the Shorland, in that they overcame the problem by having a linkage to a spotlight. ForeverBrunswickGreen
Sight? No, they were not illuminated, even in daylight they were hopeless, and the only usable technique was to hosepipe rounds into the target area - I stopped short of saying "onto the target"! Cold_War_Collection
Tracer with ball...walk them on to the target :-) ...only downside...tracer works both ways.... Cheers Nick
