You know how to pick them, don't you Clive!!! :schocked:

Not getting too tough for you is it Neil?

If nothing else isn't it lovely to see something in High Gloss Deep Bronze Green, if only it is a wooden box?

OK here a clue, this is with the curved bit in the box:

Ok, Are the 7 blob's in the slot electrical contacts, and if so does a lead go from this box to another item? :?

Yup or it can be used out of the box for use with a different item which would be its primary function.

Is the curved device a battery of some sort? (making the box the charger?) :dunno:

Yes absolutely, well done!

So the question now is what the h*ll did it fit? Someone did start getting warm then missed following it up.

So this is a battery and used somehow on, or with a missile of sorts, but why would you want a chargeable battery for a missile?

Is it used on poss the sighting equipt?

Or does it actually go on the missile and the charge facility to ensure full power when reqd by trickle charge?

HF :? :? :?

Yes getting very warm, well done on picking up on the missile theme. But as you sent me a banana, you'll have to choose from those options.

The item is in use below:

Just had closer look at one of the original pics and can read part of the Stock Number label, saying "Battery, Power".

Yes you are right Richard, there it was for all to see!

power supply for motor for missile guidance thing  well the motor underneath the missiles needs power to turn

Well done David, very very good indeed. It is indeed the battery for the electrically operated tripod for operating two Vigilant ATGWs. I thought people would reckon the curved bit may be part of the missile itself. So how did you know that then?
