Hoseman
Old spec, £1000+ New Spec, £400 to £600 If that's the case anyone got an old one sitting round collecting dust....? Lol I've seen old deals going for about £700-800. I've got an old spec (pre 96) MK2 which I can fully strip except the barrel of course. What are the new deacs like compared? A friend has a deac MK2 which is useless, can't even cock it! Nothing like that I hope!

All post-1995 deactivated SMGs will not cock. Some done between 1995 and 2010 will have a moving cocking handle. All post-2010 ones will be welded solid. This is why I don't own any post-1995 deactivated SMGs and regret selling the old-spec Mk2 and Mk3 Stens I used to own.

Chris Hall
This one has sold but it gives you an idea of the prices some people are willing to pay. I'm glad I bought mine when I did for £250 http://www.rjmilitaria.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=

Chris Hall
I did a quick bit of shopping around and the cheapest I could find was £475 at the moment, I dare say that a private seller may take £400 but it does appear the prices are climbing. £495 http://www.worldwidearms.com/popup.cfm?p_n=515733&p_i=515733 £475 http://www.dandbmilitaria.com/Sten-MK-V-SMG.html £600 http://www.deactivated-military-weapons.co.uk/image-files/S141_A_STENMK5.jpg

They tend to be cheapest around. All my old deals come from t here years ago, but prices shooting up! (Excuse pun!) I am looking round for a private seller, . Best chance of getting an old deac I think

Hoseman
Any good to you? http://www.worldwidearms.com/popup.cfm?p_n=515733&p_i=515733 Yeah, very good for me...just wish it was old spec deac! First place I went to mate to check current prices. Already showed the missus for a Christmas idea, she said " what you want another one of those for? How many bloody guns did they go into battle with...??" I replied..."well there's Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday....etc....!" Fell on blank expressions! Runflat
A couple of stens are for auction at Warwick & Warwick's coin and medal sale next month (lots 117 and 118): http://www.warwickandwarwick.com/ They are probably not what folk want, but for those in the market they may have been missed...
