some where on the engine block there may be still a rebuild plate telling when the engine was rebuilt

 

 

There is an engine rebuild plate on the pushrod cover, the engine was reconditioned by Vauxhall Motors Ltd. Cannot read the date though.

i didn't relizehow small inside the cab was, people in them days must have been smaller?!:D

 

 

and is there a reason it has not got a turret cupola? Some OYs do and some don't ?

Bill,

Cupolas on Bedfords did not appear to be introduced until around late 1943, give or take a bit.

Bill, That is where the vacuum tank for the original vacuum operated windscreen wipers was fitted. I notice that yours has been converted to electric wipers, and I would recommend that you stick with this set-up - the vacuum operated ones are abysmal!
