Locolines Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 as you most probably know. I have a mk 4 ferret where there was a problem with the gearbox being stuck in neutral after a 25 year lay up. Well a strange thing had occurred, I got in it today to open the hatches as its stifling hot, and by chance noticed that the gear change pedal had come up about an inch from the floor, so I poked it with me toe and up it sprung ! i pumped it on all the gears and it makes all the right noises. can wait to try it out tomorrow when the batteries are back on. maybe the heat freed the oil or something. Trouble is, that because I didn't have the facilities to fix it I put it on eBay and it ends tomorrow . a dilemma indeed !!!!! Quote
wally dugan Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 THATS what happens when you try to sell it you frightened it in to curing its self Quote
Gordon_M Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Try it quick then cancel the auction - though to be fair I always thought the Ferret driving position was rubbish compared to the Dingo which was a delight to drive. Quote
monty2 Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 i fully agree with the previous post, driving position of the Dingo is much better Quote
andym Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 You can pull the auction as the vehicle is no longer as described! Andy Quote
ferrettkitt Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 If you really want to sell it which I think you do I would pull it and readvertise it after W&P as everyman and his dog will want to buy an AFV military vehicle Quote
Rangie Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Agreed, its no longer as advertised. If its cured itself its worth more moolah! Try it quick and see if you've increased its value...... Alec. Quote
Tony B Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 My suggestion Sell 'As seen' before winter! A story I'd love to belive is true is about a horse dealer who sold a horse. The day after it dropped dead. The customer phoned up in high dudgeon to recive the reply 'Well! It never did that when I had it'. Quote
griff66 Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 hah dingo driving position is only good if u are 5 feet tall or 7 foot tall nothing in between ! Quote
