as you most probably know. I have a mk 4 ferret where there was a problem with the gearbox being stuck in neutral after a 25 year lay up.

Well a strange thing had occurred, I got in it today to open the hatches as its stifling hot, and by chance noticed that the gear change pedal had come up about an inch from the floor, so I poked it with me toe and up it sprung !

i pumped it on all the gears and it makes all the right noises.

can wait to try it out tomorrow when the batteries are back on.

maybe the heat freed the oil or something.

Trouble is, that because I didn't have the facilities to fix it I put it on eBay and it ends tomorrow .

a dilemma indeed !!!!!

Try it quick then cancel the auction - though to be fair I always thought the Ferret driving position was rubbish compared to the Dingo which was a delight to drive.

Agreed, its no longer as advertised.

If its cured itself its worth more moolah! :D

Try it quick and see if you've increased its value......

My suggestion Sell 'As seen' before winter! :D A story I'd love to belive is true is about a horse dealer who sold a horse. The day after it dropped dead. The customer phoned up in high dudgeon to recive the reply 'Well! It never did that when I had it'.
