James Shopland
After nine months of planning, the Shopland Collection team was delighted with our event at Tyntesfield House, held in partnership with the National Trust and in association with the Imps and the Blitz Buddies. This is a fabulous venue for a Forties weekend that attracted nearly 100 vehicle entries, one Dakota and plenty of re-enactors. With a Home Front focus this little event drew the crowds in their thousands, filling all the car parks to capacity. Please check out the photos on Tyntesfield WWII Weekend Facebook page and on the Collection web site.
James Shopland
The introduction of Artillery Corner to the Tyntesfield WWII Weekend was a big hit with the general public. The crowds could get up close to the guns and the vehicles that towed them. Tobin Jones's live firing session with the 17pdr was a definite hit.
