Took the abbot out for a little spin today. First time out since I bought it.

Very interesting reactions in our lane from on-coming traffic! Once the panic subsides, the mobile phone cameras come out.:D.

We manged to squeeze up our lane and then along the A352 for a short while and then into our field.

She started ok, albeit a little smokey and once we got to the field the temp seemed to stabilize at 200F and the white smoke completely cleared.

I was surprised how much you need to hoof it before it will change up a gear. It seems like it needs to be 3500-4000 rpm before it shifts up and it shifts down the moment the rpms drop.

The drive back was ok and I managed the swing into the drive in one go without taking out any walls!

Such a different beast to the Scorpion. It seems to need real manhandling to get it maneuvered where you want it.

Need to check oils again now its back as the governor was low before we set off. (we topped it up before we got going).

Next trip is to Tank Fest at Bovvy hopefully.

Brilliant! I'd have thought the locals were pretty used to seeing tracked armour trundling around, though. Perhaps not at the weekends?
