Has "Falkland Islands" engraved and a map of the falklands, also below that "To CPL Clive Cooper, The Lamb Chop Tour, 2nd Mar - 5th Sep 98". Falklands coinage is also stuck to the top. Unfortunately someone has spilt wax over the front, wont take a lot to clean but a bit anoying as it will still show up unless completely cleaned. Chris Hall Posted April 21, 2013 Share Posted April 21, 2013 You got a bargain at £2, the armourers making these when I was there were charging nearly £100 for one of the 125mm shells. The more engraving, the more they charged, and they were cheeting and using a computer image printed out, stuck on the shell and then etched the outline with a electric pencil. Peter4456 Posted April 22, 2013 Share Posted April 22, 2013 An Armourer friend of mine used to go the the bank in Port Stanley and get loads of each of the Falklands coins, stick them to a piece of rock and then mount it on a piece of wood cut from the rear seats of Argentine Unimogs (just about the only wood there was!). When the folks back home complained that the wood scratched their sideboards, he made a Mark 2 version, with Argenine blanket stuck to the bottom.
