Richard Farrant
Hi Nick, I think this is the location; Ordnance Storage and Disposal Depot, Branston, Staffs.
cmp
Hi Richard Thanks for that, its interesting. Its the disposal centre for our Humber Box, from disposal it went to the Manchester area where it was privately owned by a REME Sergeant at a TA centre in 'Platts fields', some where else I can find no reference too! Every little helps! kind regards Nick

antar
You may not be able to find it as it is "Platt" not "Platts" Field. Google Maps goes straight to it.
cmp
Got it! Thats great thanks, Platt Fields and not Platts Field, that'll teach me to listen more carefully next time! A quick wiz around google throws up 252 Field Artillery Regiment in the period I'm interested in, that would be late 1950s thorough to the late 1960s. Another result! Some great 25 pdr pictures if you look. The Branston Pickle connection also raised a smile! thanks Richard Thanks again Nick
