andym
I recently bought a gunner's quadrant and No.4 fuze setter for my Abbot. Both bear vehicle VRNs, 23KK84 and 48KK28. Am I correct in thinking those are both AS90s? Andy
Danny152
Hiya mate, They could be M109 VRNs. Cheers, Dan
DMC 7RU
23KK84 is an AS90, however 48KK28 is for a Leyland DAF 4 Tonne !

So now I'm wondering what on earth a Leyland DAF 4 tonne is doing with a gunner's quadrant, surely not part of the standard CES? :-) Andy
Old_ROF
Just a thought but could the DAF have been used as a Gun Tractor for use with the 105mm Light Gun e.g by the RA Sales team? I know that in the past they used larger tow vehicles when doing displays rather than the normal Land Rover/ Pinzgauer option to carry all their extra gear so its possible I suppose.
