introduction Hello from forester

Hi all just a short intro to who i am,Keith Ex British Army of 23yrs 251days not that i was counting, always felt the need to get back into green kit :nut: so a few years ago took up Airsoft war gaming, mostly in modern kit. After sometime doing that I got into WWII Airsoft just as it came onto the seen which ultimately led me into buying my VW Type 181. A WWII Type 82 Kubelwagon was out of my league:cry: regards cost, and use in game as wouldnt want to damage or break an original Type 82. So i opted for a Type 181 which is Ex German Army built in 1971 and released in 1982 having had several owners in Germany it was Imported to the UK in 1989 i bought it a couple of years ago,and with a couple of mods, if you squint, at a distance it is useable in game.Its taken a couple of years acquiring kit,some original WWII stuff and some repro had a new hood fitted recently by Stan Chiltern of Derby,and by all accounts he had hell of a job making it out of canvas rather than the original vinyl but happy with the result. It may offend some purists but im happy with what i got and it does draw attention whilst driving on the the highways and byways of Nottinghamshire and the odd VW bash and glad to say its always possitive.Will try to put some pics up to give you a look see what you think.
