nick disjunkt
Hi knowledgable people, Is anyone able to identfy this vehicle? Purely for my own curiosity. It is on a page on English Russia. The doors look familiar but I do not recognise the front or the capstan winch.

0 jchinuk
Looks like a GAZ-69 to me... I would agree, especially as the script on the winch / capstan is Cyrillic (sp?), so I assume that is Russian. I also think that the 'four rings' without the script was introduced fairly recently, pre-war it had 'Auto Union' written across it. jh

0 nick disjunkt
This would all explain why I dont recognise it. I agree that behind the the grill it looks like a gaz 69. The front wheel arches look like they've had some major bodging.
