gazzaw
Saturday 23rd June 2012 at the King's Park, Stirling. The Scottish Transport Regiment are once more administrating the event and welcome military vehicles from groups or individuals, as in previous years. We will also be looking for any living history displays or similar groups interested in showcasing their groups in static displays. The difference from previous years is that the vehicles will be part of the marching parade with a drive through Stirling before a circuit of the arena and onto the static display area. We are looking at possibly carrying veterans in some of the vehicles during the drive. The ABF. the Soldiers Charity, will have a stand at the show and it is hoped that we will also place ABF cans amongst our exhibitors. Details and location of the park is given below and please contact Major Gary Wallace (WDRG, MVT, MVPA and SMVG Member) on garyawallace@aol.com if you would like to attend. All of our regular displays most welcome again this year. Overnight camping available for members arriving on Friday evening. http://guide.visitscotland.com/vs/guide/5,en,SCH1/objectId,SIG48283Svs,curr,GBP,season,at1,selectedEntry Edited March 31, 2016 by gazzaw
gazzaw
Thought I might have whetted the local MV owners for this one but perhaps not
madrat
Would love to be in a position to bring the Martian up from Ayrshire but I doubt it will be ready for the road by then, I do hope to join the SMVG in due course and get out and about. All the best, Duncan
Roof Over Britain
Thought I might have whetted the local MV owners for this one but perhaps not Hi Garry, I had missed your initial post about the Stirling do, but it was in my diary, no doubt all the usual suspects will turn up. You will likely get a bit more response once all the locals have come out of hibernation!
gazzaw
Thanks John I had you pencilled in with the crew already lol. Back to King's Park again (as 2 years ago) hopefully it will be same weather as well as it was a cracking day. Camping available as always. Duncan thanks for post hope to see you in the SMVG soon with your rolling stock Regards Gary
51HD
Gary, Shift diary says yes, so I'll more than likely be there. Think the way it seems to work up here is why give an organiser three months advance notice when you can just turn up on the day unannounced...
