phil.c
Anybody know if its possible to straighten buckled combat rims and if so who can do it. Also 2 of my old wheels have no bevelled rim just a flat surface, any ideas about there origin as haven`t seen this type before ? Nick Johns
Its usually the centre that distorts, need to find someone with a large lathe to spin them, possible apply pressure against the buckle to straighten them, if the other rims you refer to are flat disc type rims, non split? they are probably Hotchkiss or CJ Jeep, some pics would help to identify them, I am looking for a pair of these type Edited February 5, 2012 by Nick Johns
phil.c
They are combat split rims but if you look at the horizontal part of the rim they have a small bevelled step about halfway in, these do not have this. Will try to get a pic when i get chance. Phil
