fv1609
Markings on rations or supplies of some sort? Adrian, very good, getting very warm. Before we go into working out the significance of each marking(!), we need to establish the particular application in which these markings were used. Tony you're one step ahead of me if you think I'm that clever! You're on the wrong track with anything that goes up in the air in any form I'm afraid. fv1609
That would be the white circle with red cross I suppose? It is indeed. There is a veterinary one in there, anybody? So these markings are used in certain circumstances.

Degsy
So the inverted white triangle would be the veterinary supplies and they are obviously labels but to what are the labels attached, I assume that is the question. Are they package labels for priority items?
fv1609
So the inverted white triangle would be the veterinary supplies Yes, but I thought someone was going to say the brown triangle was the veterinary one they are obviously labels but to what are the labels attached, I assume that is the question. Yes with labels on the right & recognition markings on the left Are they package labels for priority items? Not priority necessarily. Richard Farrant
I think that they may be codes on transit labels for stores, so contents can be quickly identified as urgency, inflamable, fragile, medical, the diagonal blue stripe seems familiar. gritineye
As there are no actual colours shown, are they raised markings for tactile identification of contents, as in the blackout?
Tony B
Are they markings for small webbing packs? I know my dressing pack has the small circle with red cross.
