cosrec Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 Just found the above on E bay states FAIREY ARLON HYDRAULIC FILTER HOUSING 274A-3T50-EL210 NSN 4330991688376 it looks like the two on foden but no indication of size Quote
N.O.S. Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 (edited) This gives you the filter element number which fits that housing: http://www.thexmod.com/item_detail.asp?id=1370 Check out Hydraulic Equipment Supermarkets on the web (and phone them) for other filter elements available for that housing. P.S. Return filters are great things - but if you have a pump driven off a transfer box PTO, then NEVER EVER engage reverse gear with the PTO still engaged, as the contents get sucked back around the system.......... :n00b: Edited October 22, 2013 by N.O.S. JeffHall Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I checked my Scammell EKA tonight & the filters fitted have the following PN/number on them.. BT8914 7 63 01 they are plain white spin on filters much the same as engine oil filters. They are definitely in the return line to the tank so are completely different to the HP filter housing pictured in the post above. It'll be interesting if EKA did the Foden differently to the Scammell. Anyhow, I hope the info helps someone! Quote
utt61 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Just realised that it's been getting on for three years since the last post in this very interesting thread. Cosrec, do you stil have and operate the Foden? It'd be really interesting to hear an update to the story. Quote
