Pzkpfw-e Posted August 10, 2011 Share Posted August 10, 2011 The Crusader Gun Tractor were converted from the Crusader MKII cruiser tank and used as armoured tractor for 17-pounder AT-gun. 600 were produced from March 1944 to April 1945. Perhaps it is worth mentioning that the example pictured has the additional wading screens (used during landings on beaches) still attached, which implies it's still near the D-Day beaches. You can make out the 'join' where the extra sections are attached to the vehicle's superstructure.
