chevpol Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Ok folks, I had a puncture on my Landy yesterday, luckily I was just 200 yards from home. I took the offending tyre (7.50x16 XCL) to a tyre fitters near to my dads, we always take them there, when he removed it from the rim, the inside casing was cracked, causing the inner tube to split. Now I am a bit mistrustful of the rest on my 109", what does the collective brain cell think would be the best tyres to replace them with. TTFN Mark Quote
sirhc Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 G90s or XZLs. I've got a fairly good 7.50x16 XCL you can have for £20 if you need one. Chris Quote
mike65 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Mark If the tyres are all the same (or similar) age I would personally get them all checked out. After all they are the only thing that keeps you in touch with the road. Failing 200 yds from home is Ok on a motorway or bend at any speed would not be healthy. Mike Quote
LoggyDriver Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I'd go for a full set of XZL's. They are the tyre issued after the XCL's. Great tyre on road as well as off and reasonably priced and easy to get hold of. Call LW Vass as they have a big stoke of these. http://www.vass.co.uk/treads.asp Quote
