Josh The Para Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Did they ever make 68 pattern trousers in a 44" waist? Cheers Josh Quote
Panzer nut Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Size 9 8595/9505 was the largest available. Any thing that did not fit was made to order. Jon Quote
Eaglehurst Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Did they ever make 68 pattern trousers in a 44" waist? Cheers Josh In short - no. As Jon has already said anything that big would be special order. The largest waist sizes are size 3,6 and 9 - 3 short, 6 medium, 9 tall (more giraffe actually) but all three with waist sizes: 8595 or 85cm to 95cm = 33.5in to 37.5in Quote
Jonny666 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 although if you know a good tailor and have a few pairs you can get some made Quote
Panzer nut Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Thought it was a max of 40" waist but then again I have lost a little weight. You could try putting in a gusset (I think thats how you spell it) or alternativly either go on a crash diet (Tried that myself ended up putting on more weight..lol) or use repro lightweights which cover the size you need. Never seen a "special" size trousers (eg: demanded for the odd-size individual) even though they were listed as available to demand in any size from the contractor.....I suspect cost + paperwork + QM = too much bother......I well remember an outsize individual in my unit having to squeeze into size 9 DPM's with the stores response "wear 'em or go naked....and now f**k off !".....
