antarmike Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 http://h2ophotography.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html Can anyone explain what a series 3 Landy and a Wessex Helicopter are doing in a flooded quarry in Leicestershire and how they got there? Quote
mike65 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Simples The quarry is now a diving centre and these and a few other items were dropped in it to keep the divers happy. Mike Quote
gas 44 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 If I remember correctly and I may be wrong :red: they were put there for diver training yeras ago. The Wessex would be resto project and a half . Gary Quote

mike65 Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Would appear there are a few things missing from the map. Mind you if they put it all on the map you would not need to dive it. Mike Quote
trustmeimamechanic Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Did my BSAC course there years ago , there was ice around the edge as it was december , we saw the helicopter , plane ( I sat in the cockpit ) , a landrover , pushbike , lots of fish and some divers who seem to only ever dive at Stoney Cove .
